They are building a new highrise building along Queen's Quay E. in Toronto and when I came upon this scene - for reasons only a neuropsychologist or poet could explain - I immediately thought of the ancient 'music video' (it's not really a video but actually a movie) of Elvis Presley's 'Jailhouse Rock' ... I think you have to be over 50 to even have a chance of knowing what I am talking about.

I do like that moment in photography where the potential of a scene for yielding a good photograph provokes a visceral reaction ... this was just such a scene for me.

Warm morning light, no wind, coffee in hand on the boat puttering along the shoreline snapping pics of the reflections.

We are off to bite off a slice of the 'Big Apple' for a few days ... catch u' later. NYC, Village Vanguard here we come!
